Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

Note: this is a plain-language starting draft written for how PhotoDoctor actually operates, not boilerplate copied from elsewhere. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer — get that review done before relying on it, especially the payment, refund, and liability sections, before taking real customer payments.

The service

PhotoDoctor restores and edits photographs based on the request you submit and the photo(s) you upload. Prices shown on the site (e.g. "from $15") are starting points, not fixed prices — every photo is different, and your exact price is confirmed after we assess your specific photo, before you pay anything.

Quotes and payment

  • You will always receive a specific price quote for your photo before any payment is requested.
  • Payment is a one-time charge per order — we do not enroll you in any subscription.
  • If, after review, your photo cannot be restored to a reasonable quality (for example, due to severe damage or very low original resolution), we will tell you before requesting any payment, and you will not be charged.

Revisions

If the delivered result doesn't match what you asked for, tell us and we'll revise it at no extra cost. The number of revisions is unlimited, as long as the requests relate to the original photo and your original brief.

Refunds and replacements

If we cannot restore a photo to a result you are happy with, you can choose either a full refund of the amount paid for that photo, or a free replacement with a different photo. To request this, contact us within 30 days of delivery using the email on this page, quoting your order number. Refunds are returned to the original payment method; the time it takes to appear depends on your bank and the payment provider. Results depend on the resolution and clarity of the original, and we'll tell you honestly before we start if a photo is unlikely to give a good result.

Turnaround time

Most orders are completed within 1 to 72 hours depending on complexity. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed deadline.

Ownership of your photos

You retain full ownership of the photo(s) you upload and the restored result we deliver back to you. We do not claim any rights over your images beyond what's needed to perform the restoration you requested, and we do not use your photos for any purpose other than completing your order.

Copyrighted material

We can only restore photographs you own or have the right to have edited. We cannot accept material that infringes someone else's copyright.

Physical originals sent by mail

If you choose to mail us a physical original for scanning, we handle it carefully and return it afterward. Mail carries inherent risk of loss or damage in transit that is outside of our control.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, PhotoDoctor is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this service. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
